Our Projects
Client Solar Farm Implementation
AEP Elical controlled and supervised the SCADA systems development for a solar farm installed to connect into a weak rural distribution system. In addition, we were asked to provide advice on how to manage the system to keep the output within the performance parameters of the distribution authority.
Onshore Windfarm Substation and Cable Design
We are proudly working in cooperation with valued partners and clients for the design of one of Australia’s largest Onshore Windfarm to power the renowned CopperString project taking place in North Queensland. Our role in this project is to provide cable selections for the windfarm, alongside collector and main substation designs to output power to the CopperString network.
Green LOHC Demonstration Karratha WA
AEP Elical supported the Green LOHC project to demonstrate the effectiveness of using Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) technology for storage and transportation of green hydrogen.
Renewable Hydro Energy for Taveuni and Vanua Levu
Assisted Hydro Developments in the development of the Taveuni Hydro Project. The works include a confirmation of the feasibility study and cost estimate for the transmission system and a 9km submarine cable to allow Energy Fiji Limited to decide on the project. The second phase of the project will explore the preliminary engineering works including, for subsequent finalization for environmental impact assessment, bidding, and arrangement of finance.
Solar and battery system- Rio Tinto’s Weipa power network
AEP Elical provided technical support to implement a new solar and battery system, including integrating the new system into the legacy power system and oversight of the various design components of the project.
Yurika Lake Julius Substation Upgrade
AEP Elical were engaged by Yurika to complete a substation upgrade at the Lake Julius site. The upgrade to the substation required creating separate enclosures for the Mount Isa Water Board transformers and the Sunwater transformer.
Origin Energy: Mortlake 300MW Battery
Supported Origin Energy in the bid to AEMO to provide a 300MW battery in Victoria. This included review of design and contracting risks.
