Origin Energy: Mortlake 300MW Battery
We are proudly working in cooperation with valued partners and clients for the design of one of Australia’s largest Onshore Windfarm to power the renowned CopperString project taking place in North Queensland. Our role in this project is to provide cable selections for the windfarm, alongside collector and main substation designs to output power to the CopperString network.
Assisted Hydro Developments in the development of the Taveuni Hydro Project. The works include a confirmation of the feasibility study and cost estimate for the transmission system and a 9km submarine cable to allow Energy Fiji Limited to decide on the project. The second phase of the project will explore the preliminary engineering works including, for subsequent finalization for environmental impact assessment, bidding, and arrangement of finance.
AEP Elical provided technical support to implement a new solar and battery system, including integrating the new system into the legacy power system and oversight of the various design components of the project.
Supported Origin Energy in the bid to AEMO to provide a 300MW battery in Victoria. This included review of design and contracting risks.
AEP Elical was chosen to provide an expert independent review into the Power Station Control System at a mine site which utilised cutting-edge renewable technology.
AEP Elical was engaged to undertake a study to assess the requirements to increase battery backup capacity of uninterruptible power supplies associated with building safety services in the copper and uranium solvent extraction plants.
AEP Elical controlled and supervised the SCADA systems development for a solar farm installed to connect into a weak rural distribution system. In addition, we were asked to provide advice on how to manage the system to keep the output within the performance parameters of the distribution authority.
