(P1404.010) - Nyrstar Coal Grinding
AE Projects completed multi-discipline engineering design and construction support services for the Nyrstar Port Pirie Lead Smelter Expansion project. AE Projects completed detailed design of the 30m tall clad coal grinding structure including materials handling and pneumatic conveying. The scope included the 3d model development and constructability aspects of the steel framing and deep piled concrete foundations.
(P1501.01) - Nyrstar Furnace Building
AE Projects completed the Furness multi-discipline engineering design and construction support services for the Nyrstar Port Pirie Lead Smelter Expansion project. AE Projects completed detailed design for the TSL Furnace Building, Slag Caster, Off Gas Train, Blower Building and related infrastructure. The scope included civil and structural design, drafting and documentation for above facilities based on piled foundations and modular approach to fabrication in China.
(P1404) - Nyrstar Wet Gas Cleaning Facility
AE Projects completed Wet Gas Cleaning Facility multi-discipline engineering design and construction support services for the Nyrstar Port Pirie Lead Smelter Expansion project. AE Projects completed civil and structural design, drafting and documentation for above facilities based on piled foundations modular approach to fabrication in China. The facilities are geographically separated into two stages and involve three major modules of up to 23m long x 17m wide and 25m high and 400T in weight.
(P1404.070) - Nyrstar Pump Station & Diffuser
AE Projects completed Pump Station multi-discipline engineering design and construction support services for the Nyrstar Port Pirie Lead Smelter Expansion project. AE Projects completed detailed design for a sea water pump station and underwater diffuser pipeline. The scope included; modelling of a partially submerged 8m deep concrete pump station subjected to large out of balanced lateral earth pressures; and, construction design and documentation of temporary coffer dam to allow construction of pump station.
(P1404) - Nyrstar Furness Feed System
AE Projects completed Furness Feed System multi-discipline engineering design and construction support services for the Nyrstar Port Pirie Lead Smelter Expansion project. AE Projects completed detailed design for a 38m single span conveyor gallery and mixing bin replacements and weigher upgrades. The scope included; Telpher support structure modifications and modelling of complex brownfields installation. Modular design and transportation analysis of gallery to be fabricated and dressed in China and shipped to Port Pirie.
