Wilhelm is a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with over 30 years’ experience. He has an extensive background as an Electrical Power Systems Engineer with a successful career in the fields of Power Generation as well as Mining, Minerals processing and Oil and Gas. His experience extends from a solid grounding in large thermal power stations to a range of renewables projects including mostly hybrid, on and off-grid systems.

He is a renewables specialist having undertaken preliminary design and costings through to implementation (including oversight of installation and commissioning) of renewable systems eg solar, wind, battery and combinations thereof.

Wilhelm has been involved in gas and diesel power stations in both connection, studies, design and implementation, again on and off-grid. He has a solid understanding of operating and maintenance methodologies to meet best safety practices for long term asset management and best practice condition monitoring of electrical equipment such as large generators, excitation equipment, large motors and variable speed drives, power system reticulation, HV substations, medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, power system protection equipment, cabling, earthing design and hazardous area design.
