Tony Lynch
Director
Tony Lynch is a Director and Founder of AEP Elical. For over 30 years, Tony has been at the ‘cutting edge’ of the control, instrumentation, and digitalisation development at several global engineering groups.
Throughout his career he has developed a reputation as a leader in his field by maintaining a position at the forefront of emerging technologies. Since establishing himself as a private consultant, Tony has diligently drawn together a group of experienced engineers and has recently formed AEP Elical. It is Tony’s desire to further expand AEP Elical into a multi-sector, multidiscipline consulting company that delivers contemporary solutions for its clients.
Tony has experience in project management, design management, studies and design for electrical and control systems in infrastructure, mining and minerals processing, heavy industrial, water and power generation. Recently Tony’s experience in the digitalisation of major facilities has led to AEP Elical’s appointment by BHP to lead the studies for the upgrading of the Olympic Dam Control System which is one of the largest industrial control systems in Australia.
Tony holds a BEng (Electrical), is a CPEng (Chartered Professional Engineer), and holds RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineering Queensland) accreditation. Tony is also a CMSE® Certified Machinery Safety Expert (TÜV Nord) and has experience in HAZOPs and CHAZOPs.
