Sam is a final-year Mechatronics undergraduate at the University of Queensland with hands-on experience in the mining industry in Western Australia. He has worked in shutdown teams and contributed to both the methodology and physical changeout of Apron feeders.

He has been involved in detailed electrical designs for plant control systems and field device integration, utilising his strong CAD skills to produce a variety of technical drawings and electrical schematics.

Sam also has intermediate proficiency in C, Python, Java, and MATLAB, with experience in small-scale embedded system projects. He is eager to expand his expertise in automation, control, and power systems, leveraging his multidisciplinary skills to support AEP’s innovative projects.
