James is a penultimate-year electrical engineering undergraduate at the University of Queensland. He is proficient in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB.
James has practical experience in power systems modeling and electrical design and drafting. His experience in power systems modeling includes arc flash analysis, protection coordination studies, and fault level calculations. He excels at communicating these studies and finding practical solutions that enhance system reliability while adhering to industry standards.
In addition to power systems analysis, James has been involved in detailed electrical designs of instrumentation and control systems. He is skilled at interpreting electrical schematics and extracting critical information to create useful IO termination drawings for construction and wiring.
James is proficient in AutoCAD, with experience delivering drawings such as single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and general arrangements. He has also gained hands-on site experience assisting in the construction of cable systems that he helped design. James is passionate about expanding his knowledge through detailed, hands-on project work.
